I’m still giddy with excitement from our Styled Shoot Along event at Tuckaway Farm.
Here is a little backstory for y’all!
(Haha! I think their southern twang wore off on me.)

The Davis family hired me back in 2013 for a family session when they lived in Illinois.
I will never forget their handsome blue eyed little boy,
and the importance of including their first fur baby in the photos.
I have a soft spot for animal lovers, so we got along great!
A few years later they moved to Indiana to build their dream farm all while struggling with infertility.
Those that have or are experiencing infertility know it’s not for the weak, and it’s a hard journey.
After many negative tests, their family’s dreams came true this year
when they found out they were finally going to be blessed with a baby girl.
Hazel Mae!
How perfect of a name is that for a little country girl!?!
My immediate reaction was to visit them on their beautiful farm and gift them a maternity session.
We ended up turning their session into a styled shoot along event for other photographers to
connect, learn, and grow.
Styling sessions has become a huge part of making my business successful,
and I love sharing the process with others.
We couldn’t have asked for a more gorgeous night, adventures photographers in some wicked heat,
and the most adorable family to capture with their farm animals.

Thank you Davis family for the southern hospitality.
This was an unforgettable family adventure that I will forever hold close to my heart.
Enjoy! xo

Oh boy! Where do I even begin with this mentor session and this family!?!?
It is always a huge honor when photographers seek me out to mentor with me,
but when they travel from afar I have to give myself a little pinch.
Three photographers joined me this time from Washington, Pennsylvania, and Missouri.
And they were such a sweet talented bunch!
I absolutely loved our time together and can’t wait to see their work grow.
Thank you for choosing me to walk alongside you in your career.

Now let’s chat about the Goodman Family for a sec.
I know, I know. They’re GOOD looking, and mom’s hair is to die for, am I right?
The kicker though? They are truly even more beautiful on the inside.
Skyler is the lead pastor at Heritage Church, and you will never meet a leader as genuine, funny, and passionate as this guy.
He makes going to church relatable and FUN!
Amy is the Mops + MomsNEXT director at Heritage Church, and if you are a local mama you must see her in action.
Amy has a gift of making you feel truly special and connecting with you no matter how crazy your life may feel.
She started leading MOPS+MOMSnext to get stay at home moms and working moms to link arms
and journey together through motherhood.
It’s truly the most positive community she has created that is full of raw conversation and deep friendships.

Skyler and Amy have raised three just as sweet, kindhearted, loving kiddos.
I legit had tears streaming down my eyes as I was editing their session today from witnessing
the amount of joy and love that runs through this family.
What a blast they are to photograph…lots of hugs, laughter, and playful snuggles.

Getting to capture this beautiful senior’s memories with her family was one of the highlights of my year.
If you know Skylar, you automatically love her.
If you haven’t met this darling… be prepared to fall in love.
Skylar’s positive personality shines so very bright.
She is a bucket filler and knows exactly how to make you feel special.
The girl has the strongest faith and BEST bond with her family.
No doubt she gets these amazing characteristics from her parents.
I think they need to teach a parenting class! Hint…hint!
With five kids the Wilson’s have this parenting balancing act down.
I’m extra thankful to have this family in our life.
So much love!

sky1sky2sky3skylar00sky5sky6sky7sky9Skylar, you are loved beyond measure.
We all can’t wait to see what is in store for your future.

***Hair and make up done by my talented stylist, Mallory Schmitt from Swerve Salon.
Thank you, Mal!
